Stress Broke My Husband

I always knew my husband was a high stress person. He works best under pressure and holds himself to a high standard. As I mentioned in the video, we didn't know about adrenal fatigue or the damage stress could do to a person....until it was too late. I didn't even know there was a way to naturally help lower stress, I thought we just had to pick up our boot straps and keep going, be careful of how thoughts and remember to breathe.
When my husband broke, he broke hard.
It was awful. During his healing process, there were several instances where he said he would cut off an arm if it meant he could get back to feeling normal. Anger and depression became a normal thing.
We used the knowledge of a holistically minded friend who was gracious enough to give extensive help and guidance to get us started on the healing journey. Without her, I don't know where we would be today.
We spent hundreds ....maybe even thousands over the past 5 years piecing together his healing protocol. He read, he investigated, he tried it all. He got to the point where he got to a point in his healing where he "got good enough" and wasn't "wasting any more money" on trying new things.
There are thousands of people in the same (and worse) boat.
He was desperate. Maybe that's where you are right now.
We focused on gut healing because we learned through our daughter's healing that gut health affects overall health and behavior . We have learned that healing has to focus on the whole person, not just their symptoms. We learned that the adrenal system plays a key part in healing because it controls your stress and cortisol level.
Chronic Adrenal fatigue is a common issue that many people face, and it can have a crushing impact on overall health. However, understanding the connection between adrenal health and the gut-brain axis can be a crucial step towards healing.
Adrenal fatigue is a condition characterized by persistent tiredness, lack of energy, and feelings of burnout. Symptoms are broad and fast in nature. They can range from irritating to debilitating. It is caused by long-term stress levels that result in the overproduction of cortisol, a stress hormone. When cortisol levels are high, adrenal fatigue occurs and disrupts the body's natural rhythms, leading to reduced energy levels and an impaired immune system.
While adrenal fatigue is not yet recognized as a formal medical condition, it is increasingly being recognized as a real disorder. The gut-brain axis is the connection that provides vital feedback between the brain, the adrenal glands, and the gut microbiome. When this connection becomes disrupted, it can lead to a range of illnesses, including adrenal fatigue.
The gut has an entirely different system, known as the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis that is interlinked with the adrenal system. The HPA axis is responsible for regulating the body's stress response and cortisol levels. When the gut is not healthy, it can cause inflammation that interferes with the HPA axis's ability to function correctly. This disruption can lead to fluctuations in cortisol levels, which can then lead to adrenal fatigue.
The good news is that through improving gut health, we can help to support proper adrenal function. Incorporating a diet rich in nutrient-dense foods, prebiotics, and probiotics are some natural steps that can help support a healthy gut. In addition, digestive enzymes can also aid in the breakdown of food and lead to improved nutrient absorption in the body.
Studies have shown a direct link between gut health and cortisol levels. Supplementing with probiotics can lead to lower stress hormone levels in both men and women. The benefits of probiotics don't end there. They have also been shown to reduce inflammation, boost immune function, and improve the absorption of nutrients.
A healthy gut-brain axis can also improve mood and emotional well-being. Good bacteria like Bifidobacterium, for example, exert a calming effect on the brain that helps in the release of mood-stabilizing neurotransmitters. These neurotransmitters, like GABA, produce a calming effect that can reduce feelings of stress and anxiety.
Incorporating probiotics and prebiotics into your daily routine, along with other dietary changes, can help support gut health and the adrenal system.
In conclusion, the gut-brain axis is a crucial factor in overall health, including the adrenal system. Chronic adrenal fatigue can impact a person's overall quality of life, but there are ways to improve its symptoms by supporting and healing the gut-brain axis. By focusing on improving gut health through a balanced diet, probiotics, and prebiotics, you can see noticeable improvements in your energy levels, mood, and stress levels.
What is my husband using these days?
He is using Amare's Happy Juice Pack.
He feels so good on it. He has clear thought. He is sleeping better. He responds better (less angry) to stressful situations. It really is quite amazing.
Others with adrenal issues have used Amare's Fundamentals pack.
Either is a good choice. Happy Juice is all drink, while the fundamentals is two pills and a drink. Depends on what you prefer. With their 90 day satisfaction money back guarantee, it was an easy choice for my husband to try it. While it is a risk of time, at least it wouldn't be yet another risk of money. Compared to cutting off his arm, it's a fabulous deal and one that we reached out for with hesitant anticipation.
